My first post....
Below is a Brown Ale recipe using mostly leftover ingredients from my last few brews. Any thoughts? Too much special roast? Not enough Crystal? Awful hops for this style? I know the hops aren't normal for this style, but it isn't going to be that hoppy anyways (I do have one extra ounce of Hallertau Hersbruck though). I have a LHBS close to home, so if there's anything glaringly wrong, I'll gladly buy the necessary ingredients.
51% 5 LB Marris Otter (Crisp)
20% 2 LB American Two-row Pale
8% 12 oz Special Roast
5% 8 oz Crystal 10L
5% 8 oz Flaked Oats
4% 6 oz Flaked Barley
3% 4 oz Chocolate Malt
3% 4 oz Crystal 60L
3% 4 oz Munich Malt
60 mins 1.0 oz Hallertau Hersbruck pellet 4.5
60 mins 0.25 Magnum pellet 13.1
10 mins 0.5 Hallertau Hersbruck pellet 4.5
SRM:19 IBUs: 27
