Haven't made many successful dark beers, but I have learned a lot since my last attempt (2 years back). Looking for any feedback, from 'WTF?' to 'Looks Delicious', and anything in between. Thanks!
Partial Mash:
2 lbs British 2 row
12 oz Crystal 60
5oz Pale Chocolate Malt
4oz Munich Malt
4oz Aromatic Malt
Boiling with 6lb Maris Otter Liquid Extract.
0.75oz Northern Brewer for 60 min
0.50oz Kent Goldings for 15 min.
SA-05 Yeast.

Going for a malt forward beer, but certainly not alcohol infused sugar water - Say 60/40 leaning towards malt.

How does it look as is?
Also, contemplating adding some Dextrine from my LHBS to add mouthfeel...thoughts on that as well?
Thanks in advance!

thanks. Brewing today, we shall see what happens! Any feedback on the dextrin powder?
I'm not sure I need it; but that being said, I have read it is useful for extract based brews.

Sorry, I've never used Dextrin. Maybe someone else will chime in on that.

I like US-05 - good, clean yeast, and I think that will work well for your brew. If you want something closer to an authentic Brit ale, consider S-04.

Thanks for your input. Already have the SA-5 on hand. I will try the SA-4 on a future batch.
