Know of any brewers classes available close to the east Texas area?

Don't know of any in East Texas. The closest I know of are at Austin Homebrew Supply. Great supplier too if you have not discovered them yet.

There is a home brewers club that meets in the east texas area. I think the next meeting is on the 19th. I bet the members would be willing to show you the ropes.

I'm on their email list and they are about an hour n a half away which isn't too bad. I've never attended a club meeting, but I plan on doing so. Sadly (sarcasm) on the 19th I will be at the yaga's chili quest and beer fest. So I'm shooting for next month.
