So, I picked up a bourbon barrel to use to barrel age some beers. I realized later that the bourbon character in the barrel would only be good for darker styles. I enjoy a darker beer every once in a while, but wasn't that interested in 45 gallons of it.

Well, I looked at the barrel for 6 months before deciding to go another route.

Here are my bourbon barrel adirondack chairs...

I will sit in them and drink my beers:)

Those look awesome. The charred side adds some nice character.

However, I'm thoroughly disappointed you cut up a perfectly good bourbon barrel :mug:

All i can say is im pretty jealous of those chairs, those are way too cool.
On another note check out kentucky bourbon barrel ale if you can get ahold of it. Its a English pale ale/Irish red hybrid so after the barrel aging its a great amber color. I taste lots of toffee, caramel, oak and vanilla in the flavor, made me want to try making a similar bourbon brew.

45 gallons is a lot of beer....all told I guess I has $65 in each chair. I love them:)
