So I purchased a used gear motor, model # 42R5BFCI-5N.
I'm trying to get it wired up to a switch so I can reverse the direction. I have a DPDT switch with on-off-on (center position is off). I don't seem to have it wired properly. Looking at the diagram here I figured it would be wired up like this:
When I switch it on the motor turns, but when I put it in the center position it just slows a bit, then in the reverse position it does reverse the motor, but the center does not stop it, it just reverses to a lower speed. I'm thinking it's something to do with the capacitor and how I have that wired in (at the bottom of my image). Green is grounded to green wire from gear motor (not show on diagram). Any ideas?
