I was transferring wort from primary carboy to my bottling bucket. I use normal racking cane setup with orange carboy cap so I can just blow in one side to start siphon. Works great.
I stopped the siphon I had going to take a sample. This was about 1/2 way through 5 gallon transfer.
Put host back in bottling bucket but lost my siphon. Without thinking, i restarted siphon leaving tube on bottom of bucket. Needless to say, lots of bubbles came bubbling up through wort before siphon started again.
