I have a blender that I don't really use, so I was thinking, can I cannabilize it and use the motor to run a barley crusher? Does it have enough torque to be able to crush? Has anyone tried this? I know its not likely to work, I was just thinking what if.. Thanks in advance.

If you're talking a drink blender, like a Waring blender, ours operates at an extremely high rpm......I'm guessing 10X too high to crush grain. I suspect it has the power, but nothing like the torque necessary, and it must be slowed WAY down. So if you're determined to use it, the next thing to look for is some mechanism to reduce the speed.....
