So my birthday is coming up in a month and a half, and I've been off the kettle for a good three months now. Figured now would be a good time to jump back in and make a tasty brew. I'm looking for some advice on a beer, probably mostly extract based. I have dreams of smooth toffee flavours, and fine hazelnut aromas. Something I can really celebrate with. I plan on chopping some hazelnut up and steeping it in whiskey for about two or three weeks and throwing it in the secondary fermenter. But I need a gooood recipe for a sweeter (but not tooo cloying) brown ale. The tap water here is pretty hard so pot hopping ratios have to stay under an ounce. Any suggestions?

My current plan is
5lbs of LDME
0.25lbs chocolate malt
0.25lbs crystal malt
0.25lbs special B malt
1oz cascade
about 1 cup of whiskey saturated with hazelnut

Thanks for any help!
