I have been working on upsizing my setup and just got it done enough to give it a test run. I was doing full boils in a 8 gal turkey fryer but found a great deal on a 30 gal ss pot so I picked it up and added a ball valve and screen on the inside. I picked up a used Colman extreme a while back that was used but it was free so I build a copper manifold for the bottom of It. I needed to have 163.5 water to to dough In so I heated 11 gal in the bk to 175ish and drain into Mt and it stabilizes at 164. Add grain and use 8 gal kettle as hlt and a improvised herms 50 min in up the heat and at 70 min pump into bk. Drain water from hlt to Mt for a batch sparge and recirc that and add to bk all of this went well considering final assembly was done while in the process. My chiller needs some impovement but I will get to that. Ended up with 1.048 og with 16 gal to fermentation in 4 water jugs. 2 with 1056 one on us05 and one on t58 one of the 1056 I plan to rack to 2nd on fruit, (strawberry blond) I know my og would have been higher but I had a line blow off during the mash and lost about a gallon.
