Just started mashing my first ever 9%+ brew, a wee heavy. I was going to make the purposed 10-10-10 recipe but had a last minute change of heart and went with the recipe from the Jamil Show on wee heavies. Mashing that much grain and water was a pain in the butt!! But it's been going for 15 min now and has settled at 156 (was going for 154, but I'll take it!).

Plugged everything in at 65% efficiency:
19 lb 9 oz Marris Otter
1 lb 3 oz Crystal 40L
9 oz Special B
2 oz roasted barley

mashed in 29 qt and will boil for 90 min. Whoot!

Haven't yet. But it'll be 1 oz of Norther Brewer for 60 min @ 8.3% AA.
I also built a 5qt starter on Wed.
