I like to eat goldfish crackers when I drink. What's your oddity or awesome snack?
but I do enjoy extra crispy bacon. a lot. I bet I could eat more than a pound in one sitting.
there's nothing i crave more on one of those nights where my band gigs and we get free beer than "nicole's special" than going to a place called "valbo's" in germantown, il.
Cut a biscuit in half and drop it on a plate. Put fresh hashbrowns on top, followed by an egg. Throw shredded cheese on it. Slather it in a mass amount of sausage breakfast gravy, and serve to drunks. Nothing beats it.
Fried chicken hearts with hot sauce
We do breaded and fried chicken gizzards, no sauces required
Barbequed beef hearts are the perfect drinking food. Now to find someone outside of Bolivia who knows how to make real Anticuchos. Recipe here.
As a pure snack food to go along, I have found shortbread cookies to be amazing with most ales...but best with a wheat beer. Have not tried with an IPA, but I don't see it being a good pair, though maybe the buttery flavor would enhance the hops? Have to give it a whirl...
There's a big Bolivian community in DC, and they'll be able to supply you with the Paceña to go with the anticuchos.I would be totally into this!
Now where to get a fresh heart?

Olives. Beer, football and olives at my basement bar = perfect Sunday.
This does sound nice. What type of olives do you prefer?
Whatever my wife buys to make bloody marys. She bought some that were stuffed with blue cheese once. I liked those with an IPA.
I had some habenaro stuffed ones that I liked with stouts.
IPA and wasabi chicken wings.
Maybe IPA and anything...

I love hot wings with an IPA.
I'm on a pickled beets kick at the moment. Otherwise, I used to make homemade chips after nights out, pan full of hot oil, new potatoes, what could go wrong. Kids, don't try this at home when you have consumed alcoholic beverages.
