Anyone in SE Michigan have tips on where to get the best source cider? I've made some with Porters Orchard cider from Goodrich and like the results, but I'm wondering if there are any orchards with cider optimal for brewing?

You might contact the Dexter Cider Mill just west of Ann Arbor.

3685 Central St, Dexter, MI 48130
Phone (734) 426-8531

Hope this helps.

It's not apple season, so I doubt anybody has orchard cider pressed for hard cider now. The orchards that do that usually press late in the fall when the best varieties are being picked.

Good news though is that Michigan's state flower is the apple blossom. You're in apple land. Come back in October and ask again.
