So I'm currently waiting on my first batch to carbonate in the bottles and have a second in the secondary. I have seen post about how easier it is to keg so my question is who has the best setup at the best price. I'm new but know that I have found a hobby that I will not stop any time soon. so want to get the right stuff to do this for a while!!!!

Hello...it just depends on what sales they all have at the time you are ready. I would recommend deciding what kind of set-up you want (1, 2, 3 faucet etc..), then check out these major manufactures:
http://stores.kegconnection.com/
http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/kits/fridge-kits.shtml
http://kegcowboy.com/
As well as the major online suppliers (sometimes they have good sales):

http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/kegging/draft-systems
http://www.midwestsupplies.com/

And then when you finally find what you want, google it to make sure you cant find a cheaper price...You really cant go wrong with using the first three, all of there equipment is quality stuff.

What slim said. As with anything you can get crazy or stay simple. The cheapest way is to use a single regulator, 2.5 or 5lb CO2 tank and a picnic/cobra tap. Of course you have to have a fridge or freezer to keep the brew cold. Keep an eye on CL for bargains. Check local fire extinguisher or welding supply shops for used CO2 tanks. Some of them will give you a tank with a deposit.

in my opinion, first you have to decide how many kegs you want to run at once, and where the kegerator will be placed in your house. if your doing more than 2 kegs and putting it in the garage, then you should convert/build it out of an old chest freezer or full sized fridge.

if you want 1 or 2 kegs at once, and you want to keep it in your living room where guest will see it, you will want a nicer looking /more compact model like the one i built: https://cdn.homebrewtalk.com/gallery/data/500/medium/100_1598.JPG https://cdn.homebrewtalk.com/gallery/data/500/medium/100_1600.JPG

the parts cost me $400 to $450, then i saw one pre assembled for $500 in a banner ad at the top of this site.

Jason and Dogphish have great points....decide what your gonna put in first. You can go with a mini-fridge that will allow you to keep it indoors and can actually be a decorative part of your house or you can go with a converted fridge or freezer...I actually have both a fridge and freezer that are converted...I started with a freezer conversion and I absolutely love it because I can have 6 kegs going at the same time...but eventually I realized that the only thing missing from my perfect beer was a frosty mug, so I converted a fridge as well and now I have 8 kegs going and probably should check in to some sort of rehab!!!!
So my advice (looking back) is start out with a fridge conversion...small for in the house or large for the garage and frosty mugs. Refrigerators as Jason pointed out are cheap on craigslist (I got mine for $100)...after you decide this part, then decide (based on space/needs) what equipment works best for you...also dont forget you may want to re-use yeast or make your own slants, so you might need space for that as well.
