Has anyone brewed the Beersmith 2 Ginger snap ale?

I was looking for a Christmas beer and this one looks/sounds interesting?

Any pointers on brewing this ale?

Thanks

Brewed this last year. Was my first big beer and my first attempt with liquid yeast. Beer had great flavor. Tasted wonderful. But I horribly underpitched the yeast and so it never quite got right. This brew is what drove me to build a stirplate and start doing starters. My advice obviously is make sure you pitch enough yeast for the job.

I have my homemade stir plate ready, Just got the stir bars yesterday.

Did you may a 1l or 2l starter? In the past I've done just a 1l starter, but I want this beer to be successful.

I did neither. This was before my starter days. I pitched a smack pack, realized it wasnt enough after it didnt go, and pitched another. I could pull it off now, but then, not so much. Each piece that Ive built has had utmost importance, but stirplate singlehandedly transformed the quality of my beef.

I just brewed this and hit about all the numbers on the head except for the OG which came in at 1.080 and was supposed to be 1.097. I also ended up with a bit more wort than expected (about 1/2 gallon more). I think that may be it. I didn't get as much loss in the boil as was expected. Of course, with my setup I do not have my kettle marked so I know my volumes. I will have to add that to my list of things to do.

Will let you know in 5 weeks how it turned out.
