Beer in regulator

Anyone know the symptoms of getting beer in your regulator. I think I got some in my yesterday but it seems to be working fine. I'm gonna disassemble some stuff tonight but any idea what actually happens when you do get beer in it?

corrosion and funk or possibly nothing. Regulators are all built with different quality of parts and I have pulled apart a couple that obviously got liquid inside and corroded the springs etc. Beer in a regulator can also sour sending sadness to your other kegs.

best to clean it the best you can and let it dry completely before reassembling.
