Since I started brewing All-Grain I have had some batches will lower efficiency and I think this may be related to me using a batch size of 5 gallons instead of 5.5 gallons(what is actually going in the fermenter) . I know efficiency is related to the amount of sugar in an amount of water.
If I up the batch size by a half-gallon I think this will increase the efficiency and get my actual batch size to where it should be.
