I'm working on my control panel for a Brutus 10 build and having a major headache with a basic switch from electric brewing supply. http://www.ebrewsupply.com/2-way-1-no-contact-switch/. No matter what way I wire it, the polarity is reversed and i've tried about 20 combinations. In my mind, turning switch to right would be the ON position but it only comes on when it's turn to the left(OFF). I am testing with a light bulb and 2 wire supply. I've also tried flipping the plug over and nothing helps. As you can see in the pics below, the light is on when in OFF position and the light is off in the ON position.

PLEASE HELP!

Doug,

I actually just figured this out and yeah you were on the right track. I've been going at it for a couple hours. I switched the block to the other side several times with no luck but it ended up being that I could rotate the knob 90 degrees and that pretty much switched the switch. Thanks for the reply. Now to figure out how to make the LED come on in between the the switch and the pump.

Assuming you have the appropriate LED, wire it between the hot line coming out of the switch and neutral, just like the pump (i.e. in parallel with the pump.)

Brew on :mug:
