Baseball tap handles

So my son and I went to Alaska this summer and on the way, the Alaska Airlines Lounge in Seattle had a Pyramid beer on tap with a sweet tap handle - if you love baseball like we do. Using the inserts I picked up at Lowe's and bats I collected from a couple from ballpark visits this year, this was the end result. I picked up two of these a couple of years ago and gave one to a friend.

We actually stayed in Soldotna for a few days. The Kenai River was really crowded though. Combat fishing isn't all its made out to be. Not sure if you know him, but Dale Spalding is who we stayed with.

I trimmed about 7" off each bat. Drilled a 1/2" hole in the bottom and then screwed in the 3/8-16 insert. Because the wood is so hard, screwing the inserts into the wood was a challenge.
