Barbe Rouge

I've seen a few posts around the HBT block mentioning this variety, but not a whole lot of opinions/experiences. What's yours?

I used it with Strata in a hazy and loved it. The berry notes paired well with that hint of strawberry in strata. I believe I used 4oz strata & 2oz barbe rouge in whirlpool, then another 4oz strata and 2oz barbe rouge dry hop.

That's sounds like a pretty good combo! What did you bitter with?

I had an idea of using them with a touch of Citra or lemon drop in a strawberries and cream hazy. It's gonna sound awful, but I'm using the quaker instant oatmeal packs in them mash.

I don’t know where they’re using it but NB lists that as an ingredient in the NEW Fat Tire.

BTW I’m mad they switched because ya know I’m nostalgic, but damn it’s a fine beer.
