Hey all, I have a kettle that likes to fit the ball valve upside-down - it's to say, after some teflon tape and spinning finger tight, the valve lands upside down. The bulk head is just a nipple threaded on both ends, so there could by my problem.... what kind of methods or hacks can I do to get the ball valve upright? Or at a minimum , sideways? Going tighter is likely not the answer.

You could try a different number of wraps of the tape.

The same thing happened to me while putting the same type of ball valve on a chugger pump. The valves come apart very easy and you can rotate the body. I have changed all of my two piece valves to three piece for easier cleaning.

ohhh thanks all -didn't even think of "re-indexing" the position by taking apart. DUH! That's why I come here - just for that outta box thinking
