I was thinking I would like to brew a Brewer's Best Robust Porter and add 1 1/2 lbs. of smoked malt to it along with 1/2 cup of black strap molasses and 3/4 cup of brown sugar. I will double up on the Nottingham yeast.
I've made the Smoked Porter kit before and found myself wanting more smoke. That's why I figured on 1 1/2 lbs. of smoked added to the robust porter instead of the 1 lb. that comes with the smoked porter.
Does anyone think this recipe will work?
