AutoSparge Installation Question

I am debating on installing the AutoSparge. First I Drilled the hole for it right below the top ring on the keggle. Is that too high for me to be able to do a 5 gal batch? I know it will adjust down pretty far.

Second, I am really stumped on the fittings to attach it to the stainless disconnects I bought from Bargainfittings. It has a straight thread on it and the NPT will not fit it. Has anyone out there fitted this with some sort of coupler or elbow so that you could put a stainless F quick camlock disconnect on it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I mounted mine as high as possible in my keggle, I don't do 5 gallon batches anymore (economies of scale point to 10 gallon batches here). I put a 1/2" 90 ell (brass threaded FPT on both ends) no issues with threads what so ever.
