Hi all,

I live in Ireland and I'll be in Austin for three weeks with work. I could use some advice. I like nearly all beer. Dry IPA's are my favorite.

What beers and breweries from the area do you like?

You'll get better guidance perusing some of the threads listed at the bottom of this page, but my biggest customer is in Austin and North-By-North-West in Stonelake is essentially their "Building Two" :D

They typically have around 10 of their brews on tap and with very few exceptions over the years they've all been quite good.

I've been to a few other micros down there but usually after downing a few pints at NBNW.
Have zero clue where I was or how I got there ;)

Cheers!

Adelberts is good. There are some good breweries within about 20 minutes of each other. Pm me and we can discuss. Maybe even get together to drink some beer in austin

Two of my favorites are Craft Pride on Rainey and The Ginger Man on Lavaca. If you love having a large selection of great beers to choose from, these two are the best. Well, in my limited opinion.

Slainte!

Pinthouse Pizza on Burnet

I love Pinthouse Pizza! I second this choice for sure.

I like Craft Pride, but also the Draughthouse. Both have a huge selection of taps, and a very good selection at that.

For brewpubs, I enjoy ABGB a lot (and the food is good). For a brewery with a food truck option, I really like Austin Beerworks.

Jester King Brewery is great place to visit and try some awesome sour beers. I think it's about 20 minute drive from Austin , but worth it. Also already mentioned the Ginger Man and Draughthouse.

Thanks for the leads. I'll be in Austin the last week of October and look forward to visiting as many of these recommendations as possible!
