OK, I may be tired from black friday and full of turkey, but for the life of me I can not remember or find an answer to this question.

Is it required to have a SSR between the 2353 Auber PID, and the ASCO valve operating the gas line???

I have literally been wiring my control panel all day... and am just brain dead...

Help a zombie out.

Auber Manual is gibberish at the moment

http://auberins.com/images/Manual/SYL-2342.pdf

Here is some control panel porn as a bribe:

see post below

wow auber 2352.... SSR output.... so far into the control panel and I forget to buy the damned SSR's...

I feel like I am in need of a sign...

I'm no expert on SSR's but those valves use only 8w of power at 50Hz, you might have to add more load OR trade your 2352 (ssr out) for 2342 (relay out)

Actually a 2342 would negate the need for SSR totally

Well I have these, three of them, and I was wanting to do high pressure, but I forgot there is no safety device unlike the baso h19al-2c. I have honeywell 8200's rigged on my gas line at the moment... but was unsure what I was wanting to do...

I work out of town all but 3 days of the month now, so i forget sometimes what I buy LOL

Either way with the asco or the honeywells.... I do not think there is a way to test out my panel today...

I think my local radioshack had ssr's I can't remember but I think one did...

Ended up getting thanks giving off, and am welding up my brew stand this morning.

kinda wanted to do a test fire...

I need some direction... I have all parts to go high pressure or low pressure.... but the pids are screwing me now.... since I have no ssr's....

stupid me was thinking.. oh im not going electric.... I don;t need ssr's.....

so I may have to go high pressure and wait for 3 ssr to come in, rig up a 120V toggle switch in a project box and put some wires outside the control panel only use pids for temp sensor LOL FKUC

So, if that is the case, I could get away with any mechanical relay as long as it is switched at 12V and Rated Carrying Current: of 120V and amp rating above what I am using .... so 15amp more than enough...

Am I right?

Looking at this http://www.autozone.com/electrical/relay-and-resistors/novita-4-pin-40-amps-12-volts-accessory-relay/203873_0_0/

I recently installed a few for power invert-ers in our company trucks and lights.

EDIT: Company info page and wiring diagram http://www.novitatech.com/?q=aftermarket/products/accessories-relays/rl44

Mind you this would be a temporary fix until I got some din mounted relays in.

Solenoids are not going to be fast switching at any rate

so the answer is no, on that specific relay no, it is not a single pole single throw relay with independent load carrying capacity like what you posted correct?

meaning on the one I posted, it will only hold 12V input not 120V, and the one you posted has the option of carrying the 120V and being switched by 12V.

Correct?

yours would probably be capable of 120v, but they don't post specs on how much current to pull the contacts together... might work, might not

The 12v@30mA requirement is basically only across 85-86 NOT 30-87

so saying the the 30-87 may be able to handle the 120V since it is rated to 40A....

I will check out my local radio shack... could have sworn they had some ssr's last time I checked... I was like... oh fking shiit, no way... really..... that could come in handy... and then didn't but them... im such a dummb@ss at times for not buying spare parts.

or as my grandfather called then, incidental GodSends

found nothing, ordering ssr's off amazon leaving out of town sunday for a week... so oh well. welding today and finish the panel next week.
