I have a batch that has been fermenting for a week and looks to be great. I used 2.5 gallons of Mott's juice, and added some leftover bottling sugar as well as six cans of Seneca concentrate. Pitched EC1118 and by the next morning it was going crazy. In Ed's original thread it shows that it takes weeks or even months for it to clear. Mine is already clear on top. I have about an inch of clear above the remaining murky cider. Is this normal? I'm not panicing, and I'll have a homebrew regardless, so I'm following the best rule already (RDWHAHB).....I'm just curious.

Thx.

Main fermentation's over I think. If so, it will probably look clear in 2 weeks, but give it 3 weeks before bottling.

You're getting there :)

Cool. Thanks a bunch. I'll let it sit for around five weeks or maybe six then bottle.
