I went to rack my apfelwein that has been sitting for 5 weeks and noticed this stuff in the bottom. Has anyone seen this before or know what it is? I am hoping the batch is not ruined.
Apfelwein contamination?

Should be fine. Looks like mine did. Did the batch get any extra oxygen or anything?

That makes me feel a bit better, no it didn't get any extra oxygen (I don't think anyways). I have another batch that is 4 weeks old and it doesn't have this stuff at the bottom. I am going to rack it anyway today and hope for the best.
