saw these at trader joes the other day. used cocoa nibs for a mocha stout a few months back and liked the taste. planning to make a mexican chocolate stout soon and was thinking about using them again. usually get things from morebeer which has them at $6 for 4oz and TJ's is 50% less. only concern was that they are 'roasted' and not sure how much that would affect flavor.

You want roasted - either done by "them" or done by you.
Roasting intensifies the flavor, just like coffee.
Go for it!

Cheers!

thanks! morebeer didn't specify their nibs were roasted so was not sure. also gonna use some abuelita tabs to get the other mexican chocolate spice flavors. thought this might give it some nice deep chocolate taste.
