I had Quinoa for dinner tonight and after some research I learned that it's really easy to get it to start to germinated and in theory you should be able to germinate and then dry or toast it to brew into a "beer" for lack of a better word. Anyone heard or tried this?

Seven Bridges Cooperative sells a recipe kit for a 7 grain beer that includes at least 3/4 lbs of quinoa. They don't malt the quinoa, but they do boil and mash it.

Their recipe calls for boiling quinoa (with buckwheat and millet), then mashing, starting with 15 minutes at a low temp 122-126 F then up to 150F for the remainder of the mash. I've never tried brewing their kit, but the website is breworganic.com. Recipes are under homebrew info.

One of there's days I may decide to search before I post but I cant make any promises
