I fly through the air, light as a feather,
I make the flight, in every weather.
I squawk like a bird, my music is wild!
But I can sound like a man or a woman or child.

The military men use me to send their commands
You can find me nearby and in the most distant of lands.
It's like magic when I fly through the windows and walls,
My flight from the moon was the greatest of all.

What am I?

In a moment, a wave of light comes across my mind.
But the radio drowns out my thoughts. The cure I cannot find.

A riddle I will share quite soon,
But I am taunted by the moon.
First I rest and collect my wits,
Then tomorrow I'll pick back up on this.

A ball I throw through the air.
Where it goes, the ball doesn't care.
The ball comes to a stop
Its direction flip-flops
And back to me it returns. So I share:

No bouncing, no strings, and no funny things
Were involved in this little affair.
Just me, the ball, no tricks at all.
How'd I do it? What's happening there?

I have an answer but its not fair
for it to work, the direction, the ball must care
So while I look up and straight
I'll let someone else solve at a later date

LRB, you solved the clue
The ball doesn't care, but I sure do
Straight up and back down the ball did travel
Now you post a riddle for us to unravel

"The ball doesn't care, but I sure do"
That was the key that over my head flew
I will work on a new riddle right away
For now a non-original to thwart the delay

This one has simple math
If it took eight men ten hours to build a wall
how long would it take four men to build it? It does not matter how tall
Just a simple marker on the path

Twenty hours seems the obvious answer
But that's not true says my dog Prancer
I think he's right I'm missing something here
Now we'll both wait till somebody makes this clear

Not a riddle that Is for sure
Just a question, im looking to cure
You know they say
Roses are red
And violets are blue
I ask you friends
Do roses make yot wifr grin

I guess that makes me next in line, but I wasn't prepared with a riddle this time. I'll dig something up here on the fly, but if it's something that's already been posted, don't hesitate to pass me by.

You have been given the task of transporting 3,000 apples 1,000 miles from Appleland to Bananaville. Your truck can carry 1,000 apples at a time. Every time you travel a mile towards Bananaville you must pay a tax of 1 apple but you pay nothing when going in the other direction (towards Appleland).

What is highest number of apples you can get to Bananaville?

Well that depends on who collects the tax, it may be nothing or may be the max.
If Bananaville are greedy 3000 I thought, but if it is Appleland would it not be nought.

I believe this is a math problem but I can't set it up
I'd take the apples part way down, paying at the end of the day with sup
At some point most of my apples would be far down the road
then I would only have enough for two trips in the load
then later still and further away
I'd only be making one trip one way
If I remembered my algebra
I have an exact number for ya

Definitely a math problem and not one I'd be able to easily figure out. But LRB is on the right track, no doubt.

Working work with excel this is my thought
About 833 apple is what I brought
I moved them all down the road until the tax spends 1000 apples (333 miles x 3 trips = 999)
Now with about 2000 apples I move them all down the road until the tax spends 1000 more (500 miles x 2)
I have now gone 833 miles and have 1000 apples so I take them to the finish and spend 167 more apples.
I think I’m off by plus or minus one apple, and there must be an equation that would have saved me an hour of thought. Sadly, today’s business is slow, so there you go.

Absolutely spot on. Even the apple you were plus is not wrong. It simply had to be left behind due to the rules. The truck would only hold 1000, but that is old news. Well, that's that. I could have never figured that out...so I tip my hat.

I know harrke got this one correct
and LRB's Roman tip leads to the correct answer effect
My dumb ingronant fun and even drier humor
My silly arsed answer, I'm still a homebrewer.
Here's my answer, it's pretty dumb.
I know I am wrong, I'm just having some fun.
Not even sure if my math adds up right.
It's late I'm tired and I should probably say 'night.
6-9=(-)3
9-10=(-)1
(-)1 - (-)3
is one plus three if I remember my sums
I'm probably wrong but will continue my funs (sort of rhymed)
10 - (-4) =6 or is it fourteen?
On simple math I'm not all that keen.
Hahhaha.. my math skills are really poor.
Wait, don't get up I'll let my self out the door.
:D

Happy Pi day riddlers

The following year accounts for proper rounding - 3.14159 would round to 3-14-16.
So we are in an exciting time for pi.

Why round? I'm shooting of the fireworks (pireworks?) at 9:26:53 next year.

Who will be the first answer to cite
details about the Malasian airline's mysterious flight
I was going to put something together
but in this crowd I couldn't do better
I thought about putting some answer here tonight
A question about that one fateful night
This is truly a riddle indeed
I do think however we do need more seeds
to answer a question no one has an answer
Please do not ask my dog Prancer
Somebody put up the riddle's facts so far
Until then, I'll just play; my pretend guitar

Argg.. It was a bump fail. I'm sure a good riddle will soon prevail.

Riddles do need a few facts
This is one I've lost track of to be exact
But I think there is some good theories out there
Pretty sure in this site somebody did share
Something about a sillouette plane
I don't remember the facts to that game.

Here's one if may, before the riddles stray.

I used to be glowing, but now I'm dull.
No matter what I eat I never get full.
Although I've taken on a lot of weight, I'm very attractive.

What am I?
