I'm looking for a good tutorial that's maybe less than an hour that I can watch or read. I'm just looking for the basics of dealing with electricity.

Like, what happens if I plug this computer fan into a 50amp circuit? Will it just pull the 40 watts it requires, or will 50 amps of power cause the fan motor to explode.

What is resistance?

etc etc...stuff like that.

Any recommendations?

Jump on YouTube and do some searches.

Watch a couple hours worth. If there's any uncertainties, just ask.

There is a lot of good stuff on this site, but just like any other forum most of the "experts" are just passing along someone else's "opinion". So, read at your own risk and hire an Electrician if you aren't sure.
