This was formulated to be a traditional Irish Red as opposed to a modern caramelly sweet version. I have been told it is Guinness like without being too Guinness like. I put it on CO2 and it went like hot cakes but I bet it would be good on Nitrogen blend as well.

IBU 24.66
SRM 15.76
Wyeast 1084 fermented at 68 degrees
Mashed at 149 degrees
5.5 gallon batch going into the fermentor
82% efficiency
60 minute boil

8# Pale 6 row (84.2%)
.75# Golden Promise (7.9%)
7 ounces Roasted Barley (4.6%)
2.5 ounces caramel 120L (1.6%)
2.5 ounces Victory (1.6%)

.5 ounces Whitbread Golding (WGV) 8.7AA First wort
1.5 ounces Whitbread Golding (WGV) 8.7AA at flameout
