I am planning an American Amber, figured I would post as I develop. Going for a good bit of hop aroma on this one, and plenty of body.

Total Efficiency: 76%
Est OG: 1.059
Est SRM: 13
Est IBU: 47
Batch size: 12 gal

Single Infusion Mash @ 153F

Grains:
16 lbs Pale Ale Malt (3L)
6 lbs Vienna (4L)
1.5 lbs Victory (25L)
1 lbs Crystal (60L)
1 lbs Carapils (2L)
0.25 lbs Carafa Special II (400L)

Hops:
7.5 mL Hop CO2 Extract (60 mins) 61.1% AA
2 oz Citra (5 min) 13.1% AA
2 oz Simcoe (5 min) 13.2% AA
2 oz Citra (whirlpool)
2 oz Simcoe (whirlpool)
2 oz Citra (dry)
2 oz Simcoe (dry)

Yeast:
Wy1217 (5.5 gal)
Wy1450 (5.5 gal)

Looks good. Not a fan of Simcoe in general and I don't think it would be beneficial in this style. I would consider another fruitball hop like Amarillo. If you're set on Simcoe then I'd consider bumping up the crystal a bit to balance sweetness with that papery dry mouthfeel you get from Simcoe.
