Ok, my 1st 5 gallon brew and my first taking SG readings. Just want to know how it's going. I think my #s are accurate:

11/22 brew day 1.041
11/24 1.017
11/29 1.013

Estimated final gravity from recipe is 1.005

Am I in good shape?

Yes, right on track. Rule of thumb is leave the lighter beers for 2 weeks no matter what. For future references, don't keep taking readings. Risks oxidation or possibly infection from opening the carboy or bucket too often.

+1

What are you making and what yeast?

Yep those numbers are definitely going down. Always a good sign of active fermentation. Leave it alone for another 1-2 weeks then check and see if it's done.
