Just put together my sq14 hoping to brew outside.

I have the fryer regulator set to off, and the tank open about 1/4-1/2 turn. I cannot tighten it any more. When I spray soapy water on the connection to the tank it leaks every time.

Is it as simple as having a bad hose/regulator connection fresh from the factory? I've tried two different tanks and they both do the same thing.

I was looking forward to brewing all day, guess not now.

It must be a bad connector. Look inside and see if any plastic is in the way or was molded wrong. You
might be able to fix it.

Looks fine on the inside. Is the regulator/hose supposed to swivel freely around the twist connection to the tank?

Also is the gasket in the rear of the green connector supposed to contact the fitting on the tank? If so, that's definitely the problem.
