I'm planning on brewing a some IPA's, pale ales and a double IPA soon and i'm looking for some feedback on yeast choice.

I've been using WLP-001 almost exclusively for my hop forward pale ales and amber ales. But, i've been hearing great things about WLP-090 from this forum and my local brewery. My homebrew shop has WLP-090 in stocks, but i noticed that they also have Wyeast 1217 west coast IPA (Private Collection).

Are these yeasts interchangeable? what are your experiences with them? Which would you suggest?

Thanks for your impute and suggestions

WLP090, has a very small acceptable temp. range, when compared to Wyeast 1217.

I like WLP090 a lot, however if you don't have a precise way to control ferm temps, don't bother with it.
