I am interested in using a 10 jet burner from bayou classic and need some feed back add says that these need to be set 12 in. Below pot or the heat will melt it this true or hype to get you to buy there burner? Will be using NG to run the burner and doing 6 gal. Boils just can not seeing these getting that hot thanks

Can you give a link to the burner your talking about? I didn't know bayou had a ten jet tip.

Got it, these burners can be a pain in the but. They are hard to run on low settings, becasue of the way they suck air at each burner jet AKA intake air not adjustable.
