I liked how Rodgers looked until he ran for that touchdown. He made me lose in one of my FF leagues. Dam Bastid.

One game for Rodgers but I really liked his poise out there with a fair amount of pressure coming at him all night. Didn't get happy feet much and didn't do too much tuck and run like most newbs do. Knew when to throw it away. Didn't stare down his recievers. He Looked almost seasoned out there in his 1st start and on the MNF stage says a lot. Shows the value of giving rookie QB's the clipboard for a while if you can.

What I liked about Rodgers (and I'll admit to only seeing about half the game) was that I didn't see him make any stupid plays. Seemed like the leash was still on a bit (as you would expect in his first start), but he also seems to have the tools to do more as he gets game experience and as the coaches develop some more confidence in him. This wasn't just a matter of completing a bunch of dink-and-dunk passes; it was an accurate QB, getting the ball where it needed to be, who clearly has enough arm strength to be able to get the ball downfield.

You've also got to love that short TD pass he threw, it's not every young QB who can stand in the pocket under that pressure and hit his fourth read.

You know what? With all the Favre-fawning relocated to New Jersey, it's kinda fun to root wholeheartedly for Green Bay .

Being the Vikings fan that I am (bleed purple and all), I'm seriously nauseous. Tarvaris Jackson is a joke. Now, I have to say there were some weak calls against the Vikes last night, but we can't blame the loss on anyone but ourselves. There were many opportunities for us to win that game (such as giving GB 1st and Goal for 4 consecutive downs from penalties); we just couldn't find a groove.

If they keep playing like this, I hope both Jackson and Childress get the axe.

As an aside, I think Rodgers looked fairly poised for his first real start. GB should be interesting this year.

Well, you can't blame the Vikings too much. Hell, they did everything they could to get Favre in purple

I hear Dante may still be available . Could be worse. You could have Orton or Grossman.

It was a sloppy game but week 1 usually is.

Orton looked a *bit* better than I remembered from a few years ago. Of course, that's damning with the faintest praise possible; Orton a few years back was probably the worst NFL quarterback I have ever see (and I lived through some BAD QBs, pre-Bledsoe).

Hahaha, I can't count the number of people I've heard say that. Dante, what a mess he is.

Orton did look a bit better than a couple years ago, but I don't think Indy was anywhere near 100%. We'll see how they play against Carolina this weekend.
