What do you wish you did from day one?

What is one part of the brewing process that you wish you did from day one? For me, I wish I cared more intensely about temperature control during fermentation and yeast pitching rates (or really, just overpitching each time when possible). What about you guys?
 
Another vote for temp control. That is the #1 best thing you can do for your brews.

I was lucky because I started brewing in the winter when my basement was about 60 degrees so it worked. By spring time I had hung around here long enough to know that I need a fermentation chamber.
