I rechecked my calibration on my Thermapen, using the directions on the Thermaworks site and it was spot on. The ice bath read 32 and the boiling point was 208 which is what it was supposed to be for my elevation and pressure. I don't want to stick the pH meter in the boiling water or the ice bath for fear of screwing something up. Maybe I should get another thermometer to verify my readings with the Thermapen (?).

No need if you pass the freezing and boiling point tests. You can stick the pH meter into the ice bath without damage but don't do it with the boiling water. And don't do it too often with the ice water either.
