Microorganism in hops

Hi, I'm doing some homework about the hops, and I need to know if is there any microorganism (bacteria, mold, etc) that affects the hops (pellets)? :confused:

The pelletizing process effectively kills most organisms due to the generation of mechanical heat as the pellets are pressed.
