Enough with the history lessons. I just tapped off a pint of the blackberry cider I did a couple weeks ago and it's great! A dark purple, lightly carbonated. Sweet notes, sour notes, lots of blackberry. I think I might put some camden tablets in it to hold the sweetness. The last couple batches got too dry.
This was 1/2 blackberries, 1/2 apple juice from concentrate. ABV is almost 8%.
I've got enough blackberries in the freezer for two more batches. I was hoping to get a few more gallons when the rains started & they all went soft &| moldy.
