Remember, folks, grab by the tail, not the shell. They can and will turn their head around and try to bite your finger off. My grandpa used to pick them up on the side of the road and take them home and cook them. Good soup.

Whenever my wife calls me a redneck for having a garage you can't put a car in and a fridge on the back porch I show her something like this to show what a refined and cultured person I am...

Wow,silly me. I just wait until they crawl out of the pond and scoop them up with a fishing net. No mess, no risk. Here I'm missing out on the chance of loosing fingers, teeth or getting bitten by a snake.
