I have decided to go with a cleanable counter flow chiller from Jaded instead of a plate chiller. The chiller has a small dent as seen in one of the pictures. the chiller was last cleaned by back flushing 10% NaOH solution through it two times for a half an hour. It was then baked in an oven clean cycle to ash any residual organic matter which there should not have been any. A quick water flush and it should be good to go.
I also have 2 garden hose connections that are 3/4" female NPT x female garden hose that I will include for another $10.
