I've done it. As an experiment. I used Brazilian pepper honey in a 5-gallon carboy. I started back in February. I poured about a quart into a one gallon carboy as an experiment after the batch had finished an aged. Placed it in the freezer overnight and in the morning was able to extract what you see in the picture plus a little more due to several people tasting. Unfortunately I only have the standard triple scale hydrometer right now. It drops to the bottom no matter how much fluid I'm testing with. I figure it's between 25 and 30%. I got about 12 oz from a qt. I could have let it go more but I didn't want any water melting into it.
