Any thoughts on hop substitutes for aroma/dry hopping a Rye IPA? I'm a fan of both the Founder's Red's Rye and the Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye. Was planning to bitter with Chinook or Columbus. maybe cascade and/or Apollo?

I would use the Chinook for the bitter hops, esp if your going for that founders red rye bite. Never used Apollo but sounds interesting w/ a danky type aroma that could play nice with the Chinook. I'd say go for Chinook bitter, Columbus/Apollo for flavor and aroma, then dry hop all 3! That sounds tasty for sure, maybe a .5oz of each for 10 days or so... who knows, it might get "muddy" again I've never used Apollo, but it sure sounds good. Cheers

If you want a tasty rye, you can't beat Denny's wry smile. Search the site it's here somewhere. Great stuff.
