Has anyone used a coil in a cooler filled with ice water to chill the wort after boiling. Kind of like a Jockey Box but in the top and out the bottom could be gravity or with pump for the wort flow. Just wondering how efficient it is, I don't have running water very close to the area I will be brewing so I would need a very long garden hose for a imersion or counterflow chiller.
Thanks in advance for your help

Lots of people use pond pumps to recirc water through their chiller. I have a CFC and I'm in the same boat with how far my water supply is from my beer setup so I am thinking about doing the same thing.
