Cleaning and repairing 54l DemiJohns

Hey guys... I recently picked up some used 54L demijohns. One that was in a basket with a tap and the other that didnt have the basket or tap but had the tubing for the tap. These things are extremely dirty. I plan to clean them with PBW but would like to replace the taps and the hoses from the bottom of the demijohn. Does anyone have any experience doing this? I didnt spend a ton of time looking at the entry of the tube to the demijohn but it appeared that it just kind of stuck in there (the rubber hose was oversized and squeezed in). I have been totally unable to find any information on the net. If worse comes to worse I can try to plug the bottom of the demijohns and disregard the taps. Can anyone help me out here?
