As stated above, got no fridge! (Well, I do, but the misses might get upset when I empty it out and put my fermenter in there!) anyway, I'm pretty far off this stage but I like to think ahead and plan. I was thinking I could fill up a general black plastic dustbin with water, add some bottles full of ice and then place the fermenter in there to chill, carefully monitoring it as I go, that would work wouldn't it?
The only thing I'm not sure about is lifting the fermenter to place in there as I don't want to mix up the sediment but I suppose I could put it in there at the beginning of the brew and just fill it with water as and when I need to.
What do you think?

All the best.

That will work.
If it's cold where you live put it outside.
Don't worry about stirring up sediment when you put it the bin.
When you move it out to bottle move it gently to where you will be bottling and let it sit for a while to let any thing stirred up to settle back out.
