Also should I leave them up or cut them down, they are 1st years.
 
I'm on my first year, so I'm no expert. But based on all other plants that I know, the plant will benefit from leaving the growth until it naturally dies off. The leaves are still 'feeding' the roots which are storing energy ready survive over winter and be ready to start growing next year.

I still have some of my hops to pick yet this year.
