Can I get "thumbs up" for today???
Marie was released from the hospital! All of her vitals/numbers are right spot-on! She was more alert today, and even strung together an entire sentence: "What are you all crabbing about???" When Amanda and I left, we both noticed that Marie seemed scared. So, Amanda ate an early dinner and returned to the hospital to keep Mommy company while she waited for the transfer ambulance.
She is now at Hearthstone Manor, 920 North Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, IL 60098. I do not have her room number yet. Hearthstone will give me a key fob which will permit me to enter and visit her 24/7!!! So, if I want to hold her hand at 200am in the morning, I can!
And I will need to go quite close to the Woodstock Square, where our favorite St. Arbuck's is located. Thus, I'll be able to pick up a coffee and go to visit my dear wife!
Not only is she off coumadin, the blood thinner, but she has also been off insulin! The nutrition provided through the gastric tube is formulated especially for diabetes patients, so she has not needed any insulin! They will continue the anti-rejection meds, as well as Topral to try to control the a-fib as best as they can without coumadin.
All in all, a very positive day. Can I get "thumbs up" for today???
